in response to the scary movies, the blair witch project is basically a tamed down rip off of “cannibal holocaust” (which i haven’t seen, only heard about), at least in the whole set up and concept of the filmmakers getting lost in the woods and this being a “true story.”
also for your consideration – tetsuo: the iron man, which i watched last night. it’s basically about a guy who turns into a robot, but it’s really graphic and disturbing, at least before it gets too asian and basically devolves into a power rangers episode.
and finally, MY #1 scariest movie of all time – SUSPIRIA. argento man. ’nuff said. they’re showing it in norris next week too, so you should come check it out.

never heard of CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST. usually BLAIR WITCH is compared to an indie film called LAST BROADCAST that involves “found footage” of a group’s supposedly last days alive.
SUSPIRIA is too weird to be truly scary, but it certainly has a strange, off-putting mood.
